Pre-Travel Development (PTD) Program

UpdatedWednesday November 17, 2021 byStephanie Brizard.

What is Pre-Travel Development (PTD)?
Pre-Travel Development, or PTD, is sub-program within Intramurals conducted in partnership with Long Island Junior Soccer League (LIJSL). PTD is aimed at improving the technical ability and skills of Intramural players, while giving them a strong foundation to progress up the soccer ladder, in preparation for the Travel program the following year.
The program includes additional training on Wednesday evenings from 6-7pm (locations TBD, may take place at Lynbrook South Middle School, John Street Complex, or Greis Park). These practices will focus more on real game situations and the skills that go along with them.
PTD is only available to age eligible players already enrolled in our Intramurals Program. In addition, the PTD practices do not replace the Saturday morning games and Monday evening Intramural practices; you will be required to keep attending those sessions as well - the more touches on the ball, the better.
What is the cost of the program?
The cost for Spring 2022 is $100, which is due at the time you register. All registrations take place online and runs concurrent to the Intramural registration period.
Club Development Days
Club Development Days allows our PTD players to play in match conditions against teams from other clubs, in a festival-like atomosphere. The goal of these development days is for players to have run while also fostering growth in their technical skills. Each teams gets to play in at least three (3) separate match condtions during the event.
